Limoncello Recipe

Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 10 lemons organic, washed
  • 1 liter vodka high proof
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 cups water

Instructions: 

  • Peel the lemons, avoiding the white pith.
  • Place the lemon peels in a large jar and pour the vodka over them. Seal the jar and let it sit for 1 week.
  • After 1 week, make a simple syrup by heating the sugar and water until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool.
  • Strain the lemon peels from the vodka and mix the vodka with the cooled simple syrup.
  • Bottle the limoncello and store it in the freezer. Serve chilled.

Notes:

For a stronger lemon flavor, let the peels steep for up to a month.
