Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 5 lb Pork shoulder (Boston butt)
  • 2 tbsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Cayenne pepper

Instructions: 

  • 1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  • 2. In a bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  • 3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
  • 4. Place the pork shoulder in the smoker and cook for about 8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).
  • 5. Remove the pork from the smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • 6. Shred the pork using two forks and serve.

Notes:

For extra flavor, you can spritz the pork with apple juice every hour while it smokes.
