Ingredients:

cornmeal

finely chopped bell pepper

egg, beaten

milk

cayenne pepper
Oil for frying
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Add the chopped conch meat, onion, bell pepper, and celery to the dry ingredients.
Stir in the beaten egg and milk until well combined.
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes:
Best served fresh and hot.
