Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Crabmeat fresh or canned
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 3 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Paprika

Instructions: 

  • Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
  • Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in crabmeat, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  • Use a blender to puree the soup until smooth. Return to the pot and heat through before serving.

Notes:

For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of sherry before serving.
