Ingredients:  

Burger Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef 80/20 blend
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup Mushrooms sliced
  • 4 pieces Burger buns toasted
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Form the ground beef into 4 patties. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Grill the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
  • While the burgers are grilling, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and cook until tender.
  • Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty during the last minute of grilling to melt.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing the patties on the toasted buns and topping with grilled mushrooms.

Notes:

For extra flavor, you can add caramelized onions or a garlic aioli.
