Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a food processor, pulse the black beans until mostly smooth.
  • 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the black beans, bread crumbs, grated carrot, chopped onion, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, and egg. Mix well.
  • 3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  • 4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked through.
