Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 3 large Eggs separated
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour sifted
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add half of the sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with the remaining sugar and vanilla extract until thick and pale. Gently fold in the egg whites.
  • Sift the flour and salt over the egg mixture and fold gently to combine.
  • Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a plain round tip. Pipe 3-inch long strips onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
  • Dust the tops with powdered sugar and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes:

Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
