Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Rolling pin
  • Baking Dish

Ingredients:

Dough

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs

Filling

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened

Glaze

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tbsp milk

Instructions:

  • 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • 2. Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually add flour and mix until a dough forms.
  • 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • 5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • 6. Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 12 rolls. Place them in a greased baking dish.
  • 7. Cover and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • 8. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 9. While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  • 10. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve.
