Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup Barley Flour
  • 1 cup Millet Flour
  • 1/2 cup Lentils, cooked and mashed
  • 1/2 cup Kidney Beans, cooked and mashed
  • 1/2 cup Spelt Flour
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp Active Dry Yeast
  • 2 cups Warm Water

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, honey, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  • 2. Add the olive oil, salt, and mashed lentils and beans to the yeast mixture. Stir well.
  • 3. Gradually add the whole wheat flour, barley flour, millet flour, and spelt flour to the mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  • 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • 5. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
  • 6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bread for 50 minutes or until it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  • 7. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
