Ingredients:

garlic, minced

vodka

crushed tomatoes (28 oz)

heavy cream
1/2
cup
grated Parmesan cheese
to taste
salt and pepper

fresh basil, chopped
Instructions:
1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
4. Pour in the vodka and simmer until reduced by half, about 5-7 minutes.
5. Add the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for another 5 minutes.
7. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
8. Garnish with chopped fresh basil before serving.
Notes:
This sauce pairs perfectly with penne or rigatoni pasta.
