Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Lamb or Chicken sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Oregano dried
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 4 pieces Pita Bread
  • 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Tomatoes diced
  • 1 cup Onions sliced
  • 1 cup Lettuce shredded

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • 2. Add the sliced meat to the bowl and coat well with the marinade. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  • 3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • 4. Grill the meat for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  • 5. Warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1 minute on each side.
  • 6. Assemble the gyros by placing the grilled meat on the pita bread, adding tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce.
  • 7. Roll up the pita bread and serve immediately.

Notes:

For an authentic taste, use Greek pita bread and homemade tzatziki sauce.
