Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked Chickpeas
  • 1 large Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 inch Ginger minced
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 can Tomatoes diced
  • 1 cup Water
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Cilantro chopped, for garnish

Instructions: 

  • Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  • Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • Add minced garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute.
  • Add ground coriander, turmeric, garam masala, and paprika. Stir well.
  • Add diced tomatoes and cook until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
  • Add cooked chickpeas and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Season with salt to taste. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.

Notes:

You can adjust the spices to your taste. Serve with rice or naan.
