Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 head Cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup Carrots shredded
  • 1 cup Green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup White vinegar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Salt

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, carrots, green bell pepper, and onion.
  • 2. In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar, white vinegar, water, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  • 3. Pour the vinegar mixture over the vegetables and toss to coat.
  • 4. Pack the slaw into freezer containers or bags, leaving some space for expansion. Seal and freeze.
  • 5. To serve, thaw the slaw in the refrigerator overnight and drain any excess liquid before serving.

Notes:

This slaw is perfect for BBQs and can be made ahead of time and stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.
