Ingredients:  

Muffuletta Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread round
  • 1/2 cup Green olives chopped
  • 1/2 cup Black olives chopped
  • 1/2 cup Roasted red peppers chopped
  • 1/2 cup Giardiniera chopped
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Oregano dried
  • 1/2 lb Salami sliced
  • 1/2 lb Ham sliced
  • 1/2 lb Mortadella sliced
  • 1/2 lb Provolone cheese sliced

Instructions: 

  • 1. Cut the Italian bread loaf in half horizontally.
  • 2. Mix green olives, black olives, roasted red peppers, giardiniera, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and oregano in a bowl.
  • 3. Spread the olive mixture evenly on both halves of the bread.
  • 4. Layer salami, ham, mortadella, and provolone cheese on the bottom half of the bread.
  • 5. Place the top half of the bread over the layered meats and cheese.
  • 6. Press down gently and cut into quarters to serve.

Notes:

For best results, let the sandwich sit for an hour before serving to let the flavors meld together.
