Ingredients:  

Frosting Ingredients

  • 1 cup Evaporated Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 units Egg Yolks beaten
  • 1/2 cup Butter cubed
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Pecans chopped
  • 1 cup Sweetened Shredded Coconut

Instructions: 

  • In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter, and vanilla. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened, about 12 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in pecans and coconut. Allow to cool before spreading on cake.

Notes:

Make sure to constantly stir the mixture to avoid burning.
