Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into doughnut shapes.
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry doughnuts until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and let cool before serving.
Notes:
Best enjoyed fresh. You can also add a glaze or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
