Instructions:
Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.
In a separate bowl, mix the cornmeal with the remaining 1 cup of cold water.
Slowly add the cornmeal mixture to the boiling water, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring frequently, until thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
Season with salt and serve hot.
Notes:
For a sweeter version, add a bit of sugar or honey.
