Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Tomatillos husked and rinsed
  • 1 Jalapeño seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro chopped
  • 1 Garlic clove minced
  • 1/4 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice freshly squeezed

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place the tomatillos on a baking sheet and roast for about 10 minutes, until they are soft and slightly charred.
  • Transfer the roasted tomatillos to a blender along with the jalapeño, cilantro, garlic, onion, salt, and lime juice.
  • Blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice if needed.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use.

Notes:

This salsa is great with chips, on tacos, or as a topping for grilled meats.
