Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
2. Add the milk and beaten egg to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
4. Dip the onion rings into the batter, then coat with breadcrumbs.
5. Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
6. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
Notes:
For extra crispiness, double dip the onion rings in batter and breadcrumbs.
