Ingredients:  

Batter Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 large Onions sliced into rings
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • 2. Add the milk and beaten egg to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  • 3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • 4. Dip the onion rings into the batter, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  • 5. Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • 6. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.

Notes:

For extra crispiness, double dip the onion rings in batter and breadcrumbs.
