Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large Russet Potatoes peeled and cut into strips
  • 1 quart Vegetable Oil for frying
  • to taste Salt

Instructions: 

  • 1. Peel and cut potatoes into strips.
  • 2. Soak potato strips in cold water for 30 minutes.
  • 3. Heat oil in deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • 4. Fry potatoes in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  • 5. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

Notes:

For extra crispiness, fry potatoes twice: first at a lower temperature to cook through, then at a higher temperature to crisp up.
