Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups Applesauce
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp Nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 large Eggs

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Add the applesauce, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes:

This cake is perfect for a cozy afternoon treat. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
