Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar. Mix until smooth.
Shape into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and shortening, stirring until smooth.
Insert a toothpick into each peanut butter ball and dip into melted chocolate, leaving a small portion of peanut butter visible at the top.
Place back on the baking sheet and refrigerate until chocolate is set.
Notes:
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
