Ingredients:  

Shortcake Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Butter cold and cubed
  • 2/3 cup Milk

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually stir in milk until just combined.
  • Drop dough by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes:

Serve with fresh strawberries and whipped cream for a classic treat.
