Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water (for cornstarch slurry)

Instructions: 

  • In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, 1/4 cup water, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  • Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry.
  • Add the slurry to the saucepan and stir well.
  • Continue to cook until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool before using.

Notes:

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
