Ingredients:  

Apple Filling

  • 6 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Oat Topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, lemon juice, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Toss to coat the apples evenly.
  • Transfer the apple mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • In another bowl, mix together the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, and melted butter until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples in the baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
