Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g phyllo dough
  • 300 g ground beef
  • 1 unit onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 100 g butter, melted

Instructions: 

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • 2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  • 3. Lay out a sheet of phyllo dough and brush with melted butter. Place another sheet on top and brush with butter again.
  • 4. Spread a portion of the meat mixture along one edge of the phyllo dough and roll it up tightly.
  • 5. Place the rolled dough on a baking tray and repeat with the remaining dough and filling.
  • 6. Brush the tops of the rolls with more melted butter.
  • 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • 8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes:

For a vegetarian version, you can use a cheese filling instead of meat.
