cucumbers, sliced into spears or rounds
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine water, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let cool.
Place garlic, dill seeds, and red pepper flakes (if using) into a clean jar.
Pack cucumbers tightly into the jar.
Pour the cooled vinegar mixture over the cucumbers, ensuring they are fully submerged.
Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
Notes:
These pickles are best enjoyed within 1-2 weeks.
