Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes leftover or freshly made
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter for frying

Instructions: 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, flour, beaten egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Scoop about 1/4 cup of the potato mixture and drop it into the pan. Flatten slightly with a spatula.
  • Cook each side for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from pan and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.

Notes:

These potato cakes are great as a side dish or even a snack. You can add chopped onions or herbs for extra flavor.
