Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, honey, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • 2. Add olive oil, salt, whole wheat flour, and all-purpose flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  • 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • 5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
  • 6. Bake for 30 minutes or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  • 7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes:

This honey wheat bread is perfect for sandwiches or as a side with soup.
