Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup milk warm
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions: 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Add mashed potatoes, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Mix until smooth.
  • Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 10 minutes.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape into rolls and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes:

These rolls are great for dinner or as a snack. You can also freeze them for later.
