Instructions:
1. Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and pepper.
3. Dip calamari rings in buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture.
4. Fry calamari in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
5. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
Notes:
Serve with lemon wedges and marinara sauce for dipping.
