Ingredients:

Dumpling Ingredients

Instructions:
1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cook until softened.
2. Add chicken broth and diced potatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
3. While the soup is simmering, prepare the dumplings. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, beaten egg, milk, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
4. Drop small spoonfuls of the dough into the simmering soup. Cook until dumplings float to the top and are cooked through.
5. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
Notes:
This soup is perfect for a cold day. You can add some cooked chicken or ham for extra protein.
