Ingredients:  

Brine Ingredients

  • 1 gallon water
  • 1/2 cup kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 tbsp black peppercorns
  • 3 pcs bay leaves

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a large pot, combine water, kosher salt, and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
  • 2. Add garlic, black peppercorns, and bay leaves to the pot.
  • 3. Submerge chicken in the brine, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • 4. Remove chicken from brine, rinse under cold water, and pat dry before cooking.

Notes:

Brining helps to keep the chicken moist and flavorful. Adjust the amount of salt and sugar to taste.
