Equipment

  • Cast Iron Pan
  • Tongs
  • Meat Thermometer

Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Steak (ribeye or your choice)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 cloves Garlic (crushed)
  • 2 sprigs Fresh thyme

Instructions: 

  • 1. Preheat your cast iron pan over high heat for about 5 minutes.
  • 2. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  • 3. Place the steaks in the hot pan. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • 4. Add crushed garlic and thyme to the pan. Tilt the pan and spoon the melted butter over the steaks.
  • 5. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Remove from the pan once it reaches your desired doneness.
  • 6. Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes:

For best results, use a well-seasoned cast iron pan.
