Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 Whole Chicken about 4-5 pounds
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 can Beer 12 oz
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Rinse the chicken inside and out, and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Rub the chicken with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Open the beer can and drink half (or pour it out). Place the beer can on a solid surface and lower the chicken onto the can so it sits upright.
  • Place the chicken on the grill, balancing it on the beer can. Close the lid and cook for about 90 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Carefully remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.

Notes:

Be careful when removing the chicken from the grill as the beer can will be very hot.
