light corn syrup

peanuts

vanilla extract
Instructions:
Grease a baking sheet and set aside.
In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
Stir in peanuts. Set candy thermometer in place, and continue cooking. Stir frequently until temperature reaches 300°F (150°C).
Remove from heat. Stir in butter, baking soda, and vanilla extract. Pour mixture onto prepared baking sheet. Spread evenly.
Let cool, then break into pieces.
Notes:
Store in an airtight container to keep it crunchy.
