Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chicken cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 2 large Carrots peeled and chopped
  • 2 stalks Celery chopped
  • 1 large Onion peeled and quartered
  • 3 cloves Garlic peeled
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Peppercorns
  • 8 cups Water

Instructions: 

  • 1. Place the chicken, carrots, celery, onion, and garlic in a large pot.
  • 2. Add salt, peppercorns, and water to the pot.
  • 3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.
  • 4. Strain the broth and discard solids.
  • 5. Let the broth cool, then refrigerate or freeze for later use.

Notes:

This broth can be used as a base for soups, stews, and sauces.
