Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 4 cups water divided
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions: 

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In a blender, combine the rice, 2 cups of water, and the cinnamon stick. Blend until the rice and cinnamon are roughly ground.
  • Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and add the remaining 2 cups of water. Let it sit at room temperature for at least 4 hours.
  • Strain the rice mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher. Discard the solids.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract, sugar, and milk. Chill in the refrigerator until cold.
  • Serve over ice and enjoy!

Notes:

Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less sugar.
