Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth.
3. Gradually add milk, whisking constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
4. Add the milk mixture to the chicken mixture and mix well.
5. Shape the mixture into small patties or balls.
6. Dip each patty in the beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
7. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the croquettes until golden brown on all sides.
8. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes:
These croquettes can be served with a dipping sauce of your choice.
