Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups persimmon pulp
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Mix persimmon pulp and baking soda in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, beat sugar and eggs together.
  • Add flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the egg mixture.
  • Stir in milk and melted butter.
  • Combine with persimmon mixture.
  • Pour into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until set.

Notes:

Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
