Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the blackberries and half of the sugar. Set aside.
In another bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk until just combined.
Pour the melted butter into a baking dish. Pour the batter over the butter, but do not stir. Spoon the blackberry mixture over the batter.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Notes:
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
