Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups Blackberries fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 stick Butter melted
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the blackberries and half of the sugar. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk until just combined.
  • Pour the melted butter into a baking dish. Pour the batter over the butter, but do not stir. Spoon the blackberry mixture over the batter.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Notes:

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
