Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter chilled and cubed

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  • Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Add the milk and mix to form a soft dough.
  • Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a baking tray.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the damper sounds hollow when tapped.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes:

Best enjoyed warm with butter and golden syrup.
