Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ham, diced
  • 2 cups Dried beans, soaked overnight
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Black pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.
  • 2. Add the diced ham and cook for a few minutes.
  • 3. Add the soaked beans and chicken broth to the pot.
  • 4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours, or until beans are tender.
  • 5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes:

Serve with cornbread for a complete meal.
