Ingredients:  

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 4 hoagie rolls split
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until fully cooked.
  • In a skillet, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat. Add the cooked meatballs and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Place meatballs and sauce into split hoagie rolls. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Notes:

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
