Ingredients:  

Churros Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar for coating
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for coating

Instructions: 

  • In a saucepan, combine water, 2 tbsp sugar, salt, and 2 tbsp vegetable oil. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
  • Stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
  • Heat oil for frying in a deep frying pan to 375°F (190°C).
  • Pipe strips of dough into hot oil using a piping bag with a star tip. Fry until golden; drain on paper towels.
  • Mix 1 cup sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll churros in the sugar mixture.

Notes:

Best served warm with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee.
