Ingredients:  

Cake Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Butter softened
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp Salt

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cake pans.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
  • Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes:

For a richer flavor, you can substitute half of the milk with buttermilk.
