Ingredients:

chicken or vegetable broth

heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
Melt butter in a pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cook until soft.
Add mushrooms, cook until they release their juices.
Stir in flour, cook for 1 minute.
Gradually add broth, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
Blend the soup until smooth. Return to pot, stir in cream, and heat through.
Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes:
For a thicker soup, add more flour. For a thinner soup, add more broth.
