Ingredients:  

Cake Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 0.75 cup cocoa powder
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1.5 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 units eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, stir together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla, and mix for 2 minutes on medium speed of mixer. Stir in the boiling water last. Batter will be thin.
  • Pour evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until the cake tests done with a toothpick. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes:

For an extra touch, you can frost the cake with your favorite chocolate frosting.
