Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, water, and sugar until well blended.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and spices.
  • Stir the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until just blended. Pour into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes:

For a twist, add chocolate chips or nuts to the batter before baking.
