Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking Sheet

Ingredients:

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Warm Milk 110°F
  • 2 1/4 tsp Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Butter melted
  • 1 Egg room temperature
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour

Instructions:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Add melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  • Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Cover and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and brush with additional melted butter if desired. Serve warm.
